The Smithville Jamboree is being held this weekend in Smithville, Texas. This is their 52nd year to celebrate homecoming in Smithville.

The fun filled weekend includes parades, FFA and 4-H livestock show, a carnival, food and drink booths, entertainment, dances and arts and crafts booths.

The Jamboree is always held the weekend after Easter at the LCRA Riverbend Park along the banks of the Colorado River. It is always a wonderful time to see old friends and enjoy the spirit of this community. Come join the fun!

April Showers Bring May Flowers!

As most of you have probably heard, Central Texas has been in its worst drought in 50 years. We have desperately needed rain and today we are getting buckets and it’s due to continue through tomorrow. No one is complaining because it has been almost a year since we’ve had any measurable rain. The Texas bluebonnets, our State flower, and the other gorgeous wildflowers will be in full bloom next week after this glorious rain.

This is my first entry to my blog site but this is hardly a joke! I am excited to launch my new website designed by Pro Step Marketing.

This project has taken two years from start to finish. I spent about a year researching the market to select a designer who specialized in designing sites for real estate professionals. After interviewing top producers across the country, I knew I had selected the right company and I’m so proud of the finished product.
